Pigott Building

The Pigott Building is a historic 18-storey condominium located in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, notable for its Art Deco/Gothic Revival architecture. Opened in 1929, it was Hamilton's first skyscraper and originally served as an office building. Designed by local architects Bernard and Fred Prack, it is recognized under the Ontario Heritage Act. The building is named after the Pigott Construction Company, which has contributed to many of Hamilton's landmarks and significant structures across Canada, including the Royal Ontario Museum and Skylon Tower. Additionally, the site is historically significant as the birthplace of the Canadian Club Movement in 1892, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
