Gobble and Heer–Spurgeons Building

The Gobble and Heer–Spurgeons Building is a historic three-story brick structure located in the heart of Fairfield, Iowa, built in 1892. This Queen Anne commercial building showcases the city's commercial evolution, originally housing a clothing store and a cigar shop. Over the years, it transitioned to Spurgeons in the 1930s, while the upper floors served various purposes, including offices and a lodge hall for local fraternal organizations.
