Reuben H. Fleet Science Center (IMAX Dome)

The Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park opened in 1973 and was the first science museum to house an IMAX Dome (OMNIMAX) theater, pioneering large-format dome projection for educational films. The building includes exhibition spaces and an IMAX theater designed to present immersive scientific and educational content to the public. The center was named for aviation and film pioneer Reuben H. Fleet and remains a longstanding science education institution in San Diego.
