Philadelphia Museum of Art and the 'Rocky' steps

The Philadelphia Museum of Art sits on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and is one of the largest art museums in the United States. Its front steps were featured in the 1976 film Rocky and remain a popular cultural landmark for visitors who recreate the film's stair run. A bronze statue of the film character Rocky Balboa, created for the film's promotion, has been publicly displayed near the museum and on its grounds at various times since the late 1970s.
