Royal Typewriter Company Building

The Royal Typewriter Company building, located in Hartford, Connecticut, was a significant manufacturing site for the Royal Typewriter Company from its construction in 1907 until its closure in 1972. Known for its unique blend of Victorian architectural styles and 19th-century mill construction techniques, the building was a key player in Hartford's prominence in the global typewriter industry. Although most of the structure was lost to a fire in 1992, a shopping center now occupies the site, featuring a commemorative plaque that honors its historical significance.
