Boston Finishing Works

The Boston Finishing Works is a historic industrial factory complex located in Williamstown, Massachusetts, recognized for its significant role in the local economy from 1873 until its closure in 2000. Spanning approximately 9 acres, the site features eight surviving buildings, including the oldest structure dating back to 1873. Initially founded for cotton twine production, the complex evolved to specialize in finishing cotton cloth and later produced fabrics like corduroy and velvet. The site also includes archaeological remnants of its original waterworks.
