East Hall (Institute, West Virginia)

East Hall is a historic building located on the campus of West Virginia State University in Institute, West Virginia. Constructed in 1893, this two-story frame structure features a hipped roof and has served as the official residence for university presidents until 1974. Notably, it was relocated in 1937 to its current position in the west quadrangle, making it the oldest building on campus. Recognized for its historical significance, East Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
