Flintstone House

The Flintstone House is a unique, experimental domed residence located in Hillsborough, California, designed by architect William Nicholson in 1976. Inspired by the animated series 'The Flintstones', the house features a distinctive free-form design with rounded interiors and a colorful exterior, originally off-white and later painted deep orange and purple. With approximately 2,700 sq ft of living space, it includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a rock floor. The house has undergone significant restoration and remodeling over the years, including the installation of whimsical dinosaur sculptures by its current owners. Despite its charm, the house has faced legal disputes and zoning challenges, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and architectural enthusiasts.
