Rizal Provincial Capitol (Kapitolyo, Pasig)

The Rizal Provincial Capitol, located in Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig, Metro Manila, served as the government seat of Rizal province from 1962 until 2009. Built under Governor Isidro Rodriguez, the building showcases Modernist architecture with classical symmetry, designed by architect Ruperto Gaite. Although Pasig became part of Metro Manila in 1975, it continued to function as the provincial government hub until a new capitol was established in Antipolo in 2009. The original site has since been redeveloped into the Capitol Commons, a mixed-use development, while the formal government seat was officially moved to Antipolo in 2020.
