Occleshaw House, located at 2 Worden Lane in Leyland, Lancashire, is a Grade II listed building with a rich history dating back to the early 18th century. Known as one of the earliest house sites in Leyland, it has served various purposes over the years, including a dower house, chemists, post office, and doctor's surgery. The building features distinctive architectural elements such as a stuccoed brick exterior, sash windows, and timber-framed interiors. Despite its historical significance, Occleshaw House has faced challenges in recent years, including a police raid in 2021 for a cannabis farm and a suspected arson fire in 2023 that damaged its roof. The local historical society continues to advocate for its preservation, highlighting its importance to the community's heritage.
