Round House (Nunspeet, Netherlands)

The Round House, a unique round villa in Nunspeet, was built in 1906 by Frank van Vloten and featured three floors with a distinctive circular design and a surrounding landscape park. The estate, which included a narrow gauge tramway to the railway station, was known for its experimental forestry and diverse plant species. During World War II, it served as a labor camp, and after the war, it became a holiday resort before its demolition in 1967. The site still holds remnants of its past, including ponds and Rhododendron bushes. The Round House has also been the subject of various conspiracy theories regarding its former owner, adding an intriguing layer to its history for tourists and researchers alike.
