Originally proposed as the Winthrop Square Tower, its design underwent several modifications due to community concerns about its height and potential shadowing effects on Boston Common. The building, which has a final height of 690.7 feet, is part of a larger redevelopment plan that includes enhancements to Winthrop Square Park, featuring new landscaping and pedestrian connections. Scheduled for completion in March 2023, Winthrop Center will house prominent tenants such as Deloitte and McKinsey & Company, making it a significant addition to Boston's skyline and business landscape.
