St. Philip's College (historically Black institution)

St. Philip's College was founded in 1898 by the Episcopal Church as a school serving African American students and is recognized as a historically Black institution. It is part of the Alamo Colleges District and provides associate degrees, workforce training, and adult education. The college's main campus has been a longstanding center for Black higher education and community programs on San Antonio's East Side.
