Michigan Central Station - landmark train station and redevelopment site

Michigan Central Station, opened in 1913, is a historic rail station in Corktown that became a prominent symbol of Detroit's mid-20th-century decline after passenger service ended and the building was closed in 1988. The landmark sat largely vacant and deteriorating for decades and was purchased by Ford Motor Company in 2018 for redevelopment into a mixed-use mobility and innovation campus.
