The Akihabara Radio Kaikan, a prominent commercial building in Tokyo's Akihabara district, stands as a landmark of otaku culture. After concerns about its structural integrity led to its demolition in 2011, a new building was completed in 2014, featuring ten levels filled with shops specializing in anime, manga, and other otaku goods. The building is also featured in popular media, including the visual novel Steins;Gate.
