Faraday House

Faraday House was an influential electrical engineering college in London, operational from 1889 to 1967, designed to train engineers in power generation and distribution at a time when engineering education was not widely available. Located on Southampton Row, it offered a practical curriculum that included hands-on experience in mechanical engineering works and electrical engineering apprenticeships. Notably, six alumni became presidents of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. The college is now home to Syracuse University's study abroad program, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers exploring the history of engineering education.
