MaestraPeace Mural (The Women's Building)

MaestraPeace is a multi-panel exterior mural on The Women’s Building in the Mission District, painted in 1994 by a collaborative team of women artists including Juana Alicia and others. The mural depicts historical and contemporary women, cultural symbols and themes of social justice across multiple panels. It has been restored and maintained as a community landmark and is widely cited in documentation of San Francisco public art.
