Pioneer Plaza's bronze cattle drive - largest bronze cattle drive sculpture

Pioneer Plaza contains a bronze cattle drive sculpture by artist Robert Summers that depicts 49 longhorn steers and three trail riders moving through a limestone terrain. When installed as part of Pioneer Plaza, the work was described by multiple sources as the largest bronze cattle drive monument of its kind. The plaza and sculpture commemorate Dallas's 19th-century cattle-drive history along the Shawnee Trail. The artwork and surrounding landscaping are permanent outdoor public installations.
