Maritime Museum of San Diego - historic ship installations

The Maritime Museum of San Diego maintains a collection of historic vessels permanently berthed on San Diego Bay, most notably the Star of India, built in 1863 and often cited as the world’s oldest active sailing ship. The museum restores, preserves, and interprets these ships as floating museum installations open for public tours. It also operates workshops and dockside exhibits focused on maritime history and vessel conservation.
