The Kreeger Museum - Philip Johnson building and modern art collection

The Kreeger Museum occupies a modernist building designed by architect Philip Johnson and opened as a public museum in 1994 following the donation of David and Carmen Kreeger’s private collection. Its collection includes works by artists such as Picasso, Monet, Paul Klee, and sculptor Lynn Chadwick, displayed in galleries integrated with the building’s concrete-and-glass architecture. The museum also presents rotating contemporary exhibitions, concerts, and educational programs.
