Old St. Patrick's Cathedral

Old St. Patrick's Cathedral was built between 1809 and 1815 and served as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York until the newer St. Patrick's Cathedral opened on Fifth Avenue. The church is a designated New York City landmark and has been an active parish serving waves of immigrant communities in Lower Manhattan. The site includes an adjacent cemetery and historically significant parish records that document early Catholic life in the city.
