Texas School Book Depository / Sixth Floor Museum-site of JFK shooting

The building at 411 Elm St, historically the Texas School Book Depository and now home to The Sixth Floor Museum, overlooks Dealey Plaza and is the documented location from which Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that fatally wounded President Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The assassination resulted in the President's body being transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital. The site is preserved and interpreted by the museum, which documents the events and aftermath surrounding the killing.
