Pink Palace Museum (Memphis Museum of Science & History)

The Pink Palace Museum occupies a historic mansion begun in the 1920s for Clarence Saunders and opened as a public museum in 1930; the building is a well-known Memphis landmark. The museum documents regional history and natural science and includes a planetarium and historic exhibits about Memphis and the Mid-South. It has operated continuously as a major cultural and educational institution in Memphis for decades.
