Daniel and Nancy Swaford Henderson House

The Daniel and Nancy Swaford Henderson House, located south of Earlham, Iowa, is a historic limestone farmhouse built by one of the first families to settle in the area in 1853. This 1½-story structure showcases locally quarried beige cut stone on its main facade, while the other sides are made of rubble stone. Set on a raised basement and topped with a gable roof, the house is accessed via a long drive off a gravel road. It was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, making it a noteworthy site for tourists and researchers interested in early Iowa architecture and settlement history.
