Pembe Köşk

Pembe Köşk, or Pink Villa, is an iconic Ottoman-era house located in the Çankaya district of Ankara, Turkey. This historic villa, the oldest in the city, served as the residence of Turkish President İsmet İnönü from 1925 to 1973. Originally purchased in 1923, the villa underwent extensive renovations guided by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who also hosted strategic meetings and Ankara's first ball on its grounds. The villa's distinctive pink color was chosen by Atatürk to bring vibrancy to the city. Today, Pembe Köşk operates as a museum showcasing İnönü's personal belongings and diplomatic photographs, with the ground floor accessible to visitors from April to October each year.
