Sixth & I Historic Synagogue

Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, built in 1908, is a restored synagogue and cultural center that continues to host Jewish worship, High Holy Day services, and life‑cycle rituals. The Romanesque/Byzantine building was preserved and reopened in the early 21st century as a multi‑use venue combining religious services with cultural programming. It remains an active site for Jewish ritual observance and community events in downtown Washington.
