Nusserwanjee Building

The Nusserwanjee Building, a historical landmark in Karachi, Pakistan, was constructed in 1903 and named after philanthropist Jamshed Nusserwanjee. It represents the rich cultural heritage of the city and serves as the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. Notably, the building was saved from demolition in 1991 and meticulously relocated stone by stone, making it a significant architectural feat. The structure features a four-story design with a west wing that began operations in 2004. In 2020, a restoration grant was provided to preserve this iconic building, which symbolizes Karachi's diverse history and continues to educate future artists and architects.
