Auraria Campus archaeological excavations documenting early Denver/Auraria

Archaeological excavations carried out during development and construction of the Auraria Campus and surrounding areas recovered mid-19th-century domestic artifacts, structural remains, and refuse deposits associated with the towns of Auraria and early Denver. These investigations documented material culture from Denver's founding period and informed preservation and interpretation of urban historic resources. Finds from these projects have been recorded and curated by local institutions and archaeological repositories.
