Larimore House

The Larimore House, once a historic residence and school in Florence, Alabama, was the home of influential Christian evangelist Theophilus Brown Larimore. Built in the Victorian style, it served as the center for Mars Hill College from 1871 to 1887. The house was a significant landmark until it was tragically destroyed by arson in 2018, leading to its demolition in 2019. Today, only a historical marker remains at the site, commemorating its rich history and architectural beauty.
