Graues Haus, or The Grey House, is a remarkable Romanesque structure located in Winkel, Rheingau, Germany, believed to have been built in the late 10th century, making it one of the oldest stone houses in the country. Situated at Graugasse 8, the house is surrounded by picturesque vineyards and has a rich history tied to the Greiffenclau family, who resided there until 1330. The building has undergone minimal changes over the centuries, with a significant reconstruction completed in 1967 after a fire.
