The Mynde (Caerleon)

The Mynde is a historic site located in Caerleon, South Wales, known for its rich Roman heritage, including well-preserved structures like the Caerleon Amphitheatre and military bath houses. Established around 75 AD, Caerleon was a significant Roman fortress and is linked to the legend of King Arthur. The Mynde itself was developed in 1839 to protect local industrialist John Jenkins from Chartist protests and features a Grade II listed wall. Today, it serves as a luxury retreat owned by the Celtic Manor Resort, set within a picturesque 3.5-acre walled site.
