Tarragona Tower

The Tarragona Tower, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, is a historic structure completed in 1925, designed by architect Elias F. De La Haye in a Spanish Revival style. Originally serving as an entrance to the Daytona Highlands residential development, it features unique coquina rock construction and was intended as a marketing tool for property sales. The tower stands 45 feet tall with two large arches that once allowed traffic to pass underneath. Despite being partially demolished during World War II and relocated in 1994 to avoid road construction, the tower was restored and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Although it remains inaccessible to the public, it is a notable example of early 20th-century architecture and a testament to the area's history.
