555 California Street-San Francisco's tallest pre-Transamerica skyscraper

555 California St at 555 California St was completed in 1969 as the Bank of America Center and stands 779 feet tall with 52 stories. Upon completion it was the tallest building in San Francisco, a title it held until the Transamerica Pyramid was completed in 1972. The tower is noted for its dark granite facade and International Style design.
