F.M. Norris House

The F.M. Norris House, also known as the Patton House, was a historic Prairie School-style home in Mason City, Iowa, designed for former mayor Fred Magee Norris and his wife Elizabeth. Built by Chris Rye, the house featured distinctive architectural elements such as wide eaves and stucco walls. Later, it was transformed into a photography studio by Jerome J. Gerard, a notable photographer and writer for Popular Photography. The house was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, but it has since been demolished.
