Mills-Stebbins Villa

The Mills-Stebbins Villa, located at 3 Crescent Hill in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a stunning example of Italian Renaissance architecture designed by Henry A. Sykes. Built between 1849 and 1851 for prominent attorney John Mills, the villa features a distinctive tower reminiscent of a campanile and intricate brickwork with stone and wood detailing. After a period of decline, it was beautifully restored in the 1970s. The villa's interior boasts formal rooms, a library, and full-length windows that open to outdoor spaces, making it a fascinating site for both tourists and researchers interested in historic architecture and local history. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
