Klyde Warren Park - a park built over a freeway

Klyde Warren Park is a 5.2-acre public park constructed over a deck spanning the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway, physically connecting Downtown and Uptown Dallas. The park opened in 2012 and was funded and is operated by the Klyde Warren Park Foundation; it features programmed events, food trucks, a children’s park, and a performance pavilion. Its creation transformed an elevated urban highway space into a contiguous green corridor in the city center.
