Monster Building

The Monster Building, officially known as Parker Estate, is a striking complex of five interconnected residential towers located in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. Built in the 1960s, this architectural marvel features 2,243 units across 18 floors and houses around 10,000 residents. Its unique design and vibrant colors have made it a popular spot for photography, especially after a viral image by Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze in 2013. The estate has also served as a backdrop for films like Transformers: Age of Extinction and Ghost in the Shell, earning it the nickname 'Monster Mansion.' Visitors are drawn to its dense, vertical structure and the lively street front shops, but residents have requested that tourists be respectful of their home.
