Cook Shire Hall

Cook Shire Hall, located in Cooktown, Queensland, is a heritage-listed community hall built in 1907. Originally serving as the meeting venue for the Loyal Captain Cook Lodge of the Oddfellows Society, it has played a significant role in the town's public entertainment since its inception. The hall, which features a simple timber construction and verandahs, has hosted various community events and is now Cooktown's only cinema. Recognized for its historical importance, it was added to the Queensland Heritage Register in 1997, reflecting its enduring significance in the cultural life of Cooktown.
