Fowle-Reed-Wyman House

The Fowle-Reed-Wyman House, located in Arlington, Massachusetts, is a remarkable example of First Period architecture, dating back to around 1706. As the oldest structure in Arlington, this well-preserved saltbox house features a two-story wood-frame design with a central chimney and clapboard siding. Originally built by John Fowle, it later became the property of the Wyman family for nearly 150 years. A sympathetic addition from the early 20th century enhances its historical charm. The house was recognized for its significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
