United States Supreme Court Building - home of the Supreme Court

The United States Supreme Court Building, completed in 1935, is the only building specifically constructed to house the Supreme Court of the United States. The Court hears oral arguments, issues opinions, and administers its public and administrative functions in this marble neoclassical building. The building contains the Justices’ chambers, the courtroom where decisions are announced, and the Court’s library and offices. It is the institutional seat of the nation’s highest judicial body.
