Davutpaşa Barracks

Davutpaşa Barracks, constructed in the 1800s, are located in the Esenler district of Istanbul. Originally serving as Ottoman Army barracks, they played significant roles during historical events, including providing shelter for immigrants during the Balkan Wars and functioning as a military hospital in World War I. The site was also affected by bombings during the conflict in Istanbul. Today, the historic building has been repurposed as a campus for Yıldız Technical University, blending its rich history with modern educational use.
