Trpísty Castle

Trpísty Castle, a stunning late baroque manor house located in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic, was constructed in 1729 for Count Prosper Anton Josef of Sinzendorf. It features an extravagant design attributed to architect Jakub Auguston, characterized by two pavilions connected by grand oval rooms. The interior boasts lavish baroque frescoes, including a striking ceiling mural depicting the Sinzendorf family's apotheosis. The surrounding English-style garden, established in the 19th century, is home to rare trees, including a notable Ginkgo tree. As one of the few remaining examples of 18th-century Bohemian country houses, Trpísty Castle offers a glimpse into the region's rich history and architecture, making it a valuable destination for tourists and researchers alike.
