Shilaidaha Kachharibari

Shilaidaha Kachharibari, built in 1892, is a historic building located in Kushtia District, Bangladesh, where the Tagore family's zamindari activities were conducted. Known as Rabindra Kachharibari, it features a simple Indo-European architectural design with two stories, including four rooms on the ground floor and three on the upper floor. The site is notable for its historical significance, as Rabindranath Tagore managed zamindari affairs from here and abolished discriminatory practices in local assemblies. The building, which includes a pond and remnants of horse stables, is currently undergoing renovation by the Department of Archaeology after being abandoned. It offers a glimpse into the life and legacy of the Tagore family, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
