Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts was built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and is one of the few major exposition structures to survive in the city. The original structure was later reconstructed and has undergone preservation work to maintain the rotunda, lagoon, and colonnades. The site is regularly used for public gatherings, performances, and cultural events and remains an iconic element of San Francisco's architectural and civic culture.
