McGulpin House

The McGulpin House, a historic house museum on Mackinac Island, Michigan, dates back to before 1780 and showcases a working-class French Canadian architectural style. Originally believed to have served as a home for a priest or local residents, the house's hand-sawn timbers suggest it predates the island's settlement. After being moved to its current location in 1981, the house is now preserved to reflect its appearance around 1820, offering visitors a glimpse into the life of a working-class family during the fur trade era. The McGulpin House is part of Historic Downtown Mackinac Island and is open to the public during the summer months.
