Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection at 1703 32nd St NW contains formal terraces and a famous walled garden with significant planting designs by Beatrix Farrand and others. The property also houses important Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art collections. Located in residential Georgetown rather than on the National Mall, the gardens and collections are relatively secluded compared with DC's major museums.
