Newgate Court is a modern student accommodation tower located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, featuring 575 bedrooms within a 185,000 sq.ft building. This development, which replaced the former Newgate Shopping Centre, includes amenities such as a hotel, restaurants, and an indoor crazy golf course. The site has a rich history, originally housing a medieval prison built in 1399, which was notorious for its escapes and conditions. The area later transformed into a shopping center in 1969 before its redevelopment into the current residential tower, completed in 2018.
