Narcissus Hut

Narcissus Hut is a historic alpine hut situated in the stunning Central Highlands of Tasmania, originally built in 1935 and reconstructed in 1963 after a fire. Renovated in 2015, it features a new sheltered deck and offers basic facilities including bunks, tables, a composting toilet, and a rainwater tank. Located at the northern end of Lake St Clair along the Overland Track, it serves as a popular stop for hikers. Access is available by foot, with a scenic three-hour walk to Bert Nichols Hut or a 5-6 hour trek to the Cynthia Bay trailhead, or by boat via a ferry service during peak season.
