Domkirkepladsen 1 is a historic former bank building located in Aarhus, Denmark, originally constructed in 1926 as a branch of the Bank of Denmark. This architecturally significant structure, designed by Axel Berg, showcases a blend of English Baroque and Italian Renaissance styles, featuring a striking facade of porphyry and sandstone, along with a verdigris green copper roof. The building is situated next to the cathedral on Store Torv square and has been recognized as a protected site since 1996. Although it ceased operations as a Bank of Denmark branch in 1989, it continues to serve as a bank under Nykredit. The site also holds archaeological significance, revealing Viking Age and medieval church remnants during excavations.
