Public Art Fund (citywide temporary commissions)

Public Art Fund is a New York–based nonprofit founded in 1977 that organizes temporary and permanent public art projects across New York City, commissioning artists to create site-specific works for parks, plazas, and building facades. The organization has presented major projects by artists such as JR, Cai Guo-Qiang, Kara Walker, and Olafur Eliasson in public sites throughout the five boroughs. Its projects are documented and accompanied by public programs and publications.
